Brookhaven National Laboratory
AW Systems built the tools that help BNL manage the technical, financial and personnel reporting across the 44 U.S. institutions contributing to the world’s largest particle physics experiment, the Large Hadron Collider at CERN.
WHAT WE DID:
- Solution design
- Interactive strategy
- Site architecture and user experience
- Web implementation and maintenance
- Technical integration
- Usability testing
- Process and project management
Brookhaven National Lab (BNL) is the US government agency responsible for the US’s involvement in the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), the highest-energy particle collider ever constructed. The Lab coordinates the technical, financial and human-resource requirements across all 44 institutions. AW Systems built and maintains an automated reporting and workflow solution used by each of these institutions to report on their progress, financial status, and head-counts and to ensure – via an API – that those records are in synch with a centralized database managed by CERN. We worked closely with BNL Cyber Security to ensure the security of the application.
